About Our Business
My life has gone to the dogs. After 20 years as a television
reporter and anchor, I turned my passion for pets into a
profession in 2008. You might've seen my stories on NBC,
CBS, or most recently, FOX 9 News. My favorite stories involved
working as an animal advocate on television. Hot Dog Walking
is named after you guessed it Saylor and Simpson, my
dachshunds and beloved sidekicks. I am a lifelong dog owner,
animal lover and friend/caretaker to countless pets over the
years. I am a Certified Dog Handler with the National
Association of Professional Pet Sitter's. H.D.W. is locally owned.

playtime activities and exercise She's an
experienced dog walker and is certified in
pet first aid with the Red Cross.
Lauren Drewitz is a dog handler at Hot Dog.
She supervises the weekend K-9 crowd.
Lauren is a vet tech student, volunteer with
the Animal Humane Society and volunteer
with Midwest Animal Rescue and Services.
